Meet The Team
Donna Trudgeon
Salon Owner
Donna's early career included being a finalist in the Hairdressing Council Student of the Year, a stylist at Vidal Sassoon London and finalist in the L'Oreal Colour Trophy.
She has also been a college lecturer and a colour technician for ASP, travelling throughout the UK.
Donna has owned her salon for over 40 years.
Lauren Adams
Stylist
Lauren has been hairdressing for 11 years. She completed her level 2 and 3 hairdressing certificate at Cornwall College whilst being mentored by both Donna and Phil.
Since qualifying she has undertaken many training courses including the ABC cutting course at Vidal Sassoon and at HOB Academy London for Creative Cutting , and has also taken 1-1 balayage tuition.
Last year she completed 4 months of colour training and is now officially one of only 20 people in the UK awarded ASP Colour Masters.
But most recently Lauren has become a mum and is back with us part time.
Nicky Lane
Stylist
Nicky started her career in Manchester before spending sometime in New Zealand.
On her return she settled in St Ives where she managed Headquarters for Philip Barnet before going on to own her own salon - Hair St Ives. During this time, she trained many young apprentices many of which have gone on to own their own salons.
Early this year she took the decision to close her salon and join the team at Blew St Ives.
Holly Adams
Stylist
Holly started her career as an apprentice at Number 8 in Truro where she gained her level 2 and 3 qualifications.
Holly has in the past worked in a salon in Australia, she currently still works as a manageress at The Hair Boutique in Truro alongside her work at Blew St Ives,
Mac Groves
Stylist
Mac joined us in September 2021 to gain salon experience whilst undertaking his Level 2 Hairdressing qualification at college. We have seen his skill level develop quickly and since qualifying last May he has started to build his own clientele alongside assisting in the salon. With his creativity and attention to detail he is fast becoming a very stylist.
Mac has now completed his level 3 and is taking on new clients.
Carly White
Carly joined us in July, she is qualified in Hairdressing to Level 3 but has been out of the industry for a while.
She helps in the salon with reception, shampooing and virtually anything else that needs doing (she’s very fond of our feather duster).
She describes herself as a forgetful mother of two that loves to chat!
Patrycja Zarotynska
Aka Pat
Nail Technician
Pat joined us back in July she is a qualified nail technician. Pat is originally from Poland and moved to Cornwall in 2008 for one season, and loved it so much she didnt return to poland.
Pat has worked in hospitality mostly, while doing part time beauty and makeup.
In 2019 she trained in all things nails and hasn’t looked back since!
Pat is a very creative person and loves all things arty and glittery and is constantly trying to keep up with trends and learning new techniques along the way.
In my her spare time she likes to do nails and is obsessed with cats, especially Persian chinchillas and cheetahs.
